Cold Store Solutions
A cold store is an insulated panel structure with refrigeration equipment used to store perishable goods at controlled temperature. We design and supply cold rooms, blast freezers and cold storage distribution centres to food, pharma and logistics clients across the UAE, GCC and Africa.

System Design & Specification
Cold store design starts from the stored product's temperature regime — chilled (0–8°C) for fresh produce and dairy, frozen (down to -25°C) for general frozen goods, or blast-freeze duty (as low as -35°C) for rapid product freezing — which sets the insulated panel thickness (typically 100–200 mm PU/PIR core), refrigeration capacity and door/dock configuration. Structures use insulated sandwich panels on a supporting steel frame, with refrigeration plant sized to the room volume, product loading pattern and ambient design temperature — a critical calculation for Gulf and African sites where ambient temperatures significantly increase the refrigeration load compared with temperate climates. Distribution-centre-scale cold stores add dock levellers, multi-temperature zoning and racking-compatible floor specification.
Applications Across Industries
Food processing and distribution operations are the primary users of cold store solutions, from single-room chilled storage at a processing plant to multi-zone distribution centres serving a regional supply chain. Agricultural exporters use cold rooms and blast freezers to extend produce shelf life and meet export-market cold-chain requirements. Pharmaceutical and healthcare logistics operators specify temperature-controlled storage for vaccine and medicine distribution, and hospitality and retail food operations use smaller cold rooms for on-site storage.
Export & Supply Capability to GCC & Africa
We supply insulated panels and refrigeration equipment sized to the room specification, shipped for container transport and site assembly, with installation guidance or supervision available. This is a particularly relevant capability across Africa, where cold-chain infrastructure gaps directly limit agricultural export value — we quote against required temperature regime, room volume and ambient design condition for the specific destination site.
Typical Applications
- Chilled & frozen food storage
- Blast freezing for produce & seafood
- Cold storage distribution centres
- Pharma & vaccine cold-chain storage
- Export produce cold-chain facilities

Frequently Asked Questions
Chilled storage is typically maintained at 0–8°C for fresh produce and dairy, frozen storage down to around -25°C for general frozen goods, and blast freezers can reach as low as -35°C for rapid product freezing before longer-term frozen storage.
Capacity is calculated from room volume, insulation specification, product loading pattern (how much warm product enters per day) and ambient design temperature — a particularly important factor for Gulf and African sites, where high ambient temperatures increase the refrigeration load significantly compared with temperate climates.
Yes, larger distribution-centre-scale cold stores can be designed with multiple temperature zones (chilled, frozen, ambient) within one facility, along with dock levellers and racking-compatible flooring for pallet handling.
Yes, cold rooms and blast freezers are supplied to help agricultural exporters extend produce shelf life and meet the cold-chain requirements of export markets, a common requirement for African agricultural exporters.
