Structural & Electrical Design

The canopy is a steel-framed structure engineered for the combined wind and panel-weight load over a parking bay layout, with a tilt angle and orientation set to maximise generation for the site's latitude. Structural spans are designed around standard parking bay dimensions and vehicle clearance heights, and the frame carries the mounting rail system for the photovoltaic array along with the DC cabling routed to inverter and grid-connection or battery-storage equipment. In the high-solar-irradiance environment typical of the GCC, a well-oriented carport array delivers strong generation yield while solving a genuine site problem — vehicle heat load — that a ground-mounted or rooftop-only solar installation does not address.
